La Z Boy Incorporated has elected William C. Boor to its Board of Directors, effective December 8, 2025. The appointment increases the board to 10 members, and Boor will serve as an independent director.

The company said Boor will join the Audit Committee and his term will run until the 2026 annual meeting of shareholders. In its related disclosure, La Z Boy also set out that he will receive standard non employee director compensation, plus a restricted stock unit award with a grant date value of 96,165 dollars, effective January 15, 2026.

Boor is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Cavco Industries, a role he has held since 2019. La Z Boy pointed to his record as a public company CEO and long standing independent director experience, describing him as a board addition with strong governance credentials and supply chain oversight expertise. The company also noted his previous leadership roles, including CEO of Great Lakes Brewing Company, alongside earlier executive positions across building materials, homebuilding, and mining.

Commenting on the election, La Z Boy Chair, President and CEO Melinda Whittington said Boor’s background in transformational growth, governance, and leadership should support the business as it advances its Century Vision growth strategy. Boor said he was impressed by the La Z Boy team and looked forward to helping build on the company’s legacy and drive growth and value creation.

For the wider furniture retail sector, board appointments like this tend to signal a focus on operational execution and oversight as brands compete across sofas, corner sofas, designer sofas, leather sofas, and reclining sofas, while balancing cost pressures, supply chain reliability, and shifting consumer demand for comfort led living room furniture.
