Made by Franco Ferri Italia, the quality is immediately apparent in the finish, weight and construction. It feels a cut above the dining furniture normally encountered on the High Street.

The table is finished in a smoke grey wood grain with an exceptionally deep, high gloss lacquer. There is a depth and smoothness to the surface that we have rarely seen outside premium Italian furniture. Rather than hiding the grain, the gloss gives it greater definition as the light moves across the table.

Underneath is a substantial sculptural totem style base, combining the gloss wood effect with contrasting textured panels. It gives the table real presence without making it feel overly traditional or heavy.

Eight matching dining chairs are included. These have sturdy wooden frames with legs finished to complement the table rather than generic metal bases. Thick premium grey Alcantara style upholstery adds a softer contrast to the high gloss table and incorporates built in spill resistance, making the chairs more practical for everyday dining.

The complete set has a restrained, expensive look. Smoke grey, subtle wood grain, deep gloss and textured surfaces work particularly well together without relying on excessive detailing.

Also included in this one off exhibition package is the substantial matching side cabinet pictured with the set.
