Made in Italy, this SudForm swivel chair is one of those pieces that feels every bit as good as it looks. The rounded shape is bold and contemporary, but sit in it and you quickly realise plenty of thought has gone into the comfort too.

The deep sprung seat has a substantial, supportive feel with enough softness to settle into comfortably. The curved back flows around into the arms, creating an almost cocoon like seating position without making the chair look bulky.

The fabric is particularly good. It has a rugged, heavily textured weave that you can actually feel under your hand, giving the chair much more character than a conventional flat upholstery. The warm ochre mustard colour works beautifully with the sculptural Italian shape.

A discreet swivel base is tucked underneath, allowing the chair to rotate smoothly while keeping the overall appearance clean. There are no prominent legs or mechanisms to distract from the design.

Look around the back and the chair is just as nicely finished as it is from the front. That makes it particularly useful in an open plan room where the chair may be viewed from every angle rather than pushed against a wall.
